- We are recruiting on behalf of an established freight forwarder in Feltham, who are looking for a dependable, reliable and detailed Warehouse Operative Picker Packer to join their team on a fulltime basis.
Shift Structure:
Monday - Friday - some weekends
8am till 6pm
Duties:
·Order Picking and Packing: Selecting the correct items from the warehouse and preparing them for shipment, often using hand scanners and IT systems.
·Preparing Orders for Dispatch: Ensuring orders are correctly labelled, packaged, and ready for collection.
·Unloading Deliveries: Receiving and organizing incoming goods, potentially involving heavy lifting no more than 20KG.
·Maintaining Stock: Assisting with stock takes, ensuring accurate inventory management.
·Maintaining a Clean and Organized Workspace: Keeping the fulfilment area tidy and well-stocked.
·Communicating with Team Members: Collaborating with supervisors and other team members to resolve issues and meet daily targets.
·Following Health and Safety Procedures: Adhering to safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse.
·General Warehouse Support: Assisting with various tasks related to warehouse operations as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
·Attention to detail: Ensuring accurate order fulfilment and labelling.
·Organized and self-disciplined approach: Maintaining a tidy workspace and following procedures.
·Ability to adapt and be flexible: Handling changing priorities and workloads.
·Physical fitness: Some roles may involve lifting and manual handling.
·Basic computer skills: Using warehouse management systems and other IT systems.
·Experience: While not always required, previous warehouse or fulfilment experience can be beneficial.
Requirements:
Must be eligible to work FULLTIME hours.
A 5-year checkable history (HMRC Income Tax History is preferred)
Provide proof of NI
Provide proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement, HMRC Letter)
Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
