Description
My client close to Heathrow is looking to recruit an experienced Import Coordinator.



Summary of role.

Responsible for coordinating the flow of goods from the UK to International clients. To ensure that all parties involved in a transaction are kept informed about its status, and if needed resolve any issues that may arise during transit. Ideally with some Pharma experience, but will train, however must have start to finish experience for this role.



Duties will include (but wont be limited to):



Liaising closely with shippers/consignee's

Arranging and tracking Shipments.

Preparing and reviewing Shipping documents, including AWB, packing lists and commercial invoices.

Coordinating the transportation routes and methods with hauliers.

Communicating with Airline, Freight Forwarders, custom brokers and other transportation teams providers to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and within budget.

Monitor shipment for compliance and regulations and international trade laws specifically in relations to pharmaceuticals.

Liaising with consular companies to arrange Import permits.

Maintaining records of all Import transactions, including tracking shipments and preparing reports on shipping costs and delivery times.

Ensuring compliance with HMRC Import regulations, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits from UK Exporters.

Ensuring time critical and temperature-controlled cargo is stored at the correct temperature at both airline and within our own facility.

Working closely with overseas agents/offices

Processing documentation

Completing Import customs entries

Sending/receiving pre-alerts

Arranging collections and deliveries

Keeping up to date with changes in trade laws and regulations.



We are looking for previous Imports start to finish exports experience with good knowledge of Sequoia CDS, good communication skills both written and verbal, good attention to detail. Liaising with the warehouse and check all ok before good are sent out. Any Pharma experience advantage



Hours Monday to Friday either 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm

Salary depends on experience.

Car driver required due to location.



5-year checkable work record and DBS will be required
