The ideal person would have around 1-2 years experience in Air Exports, duties will include:
Accepting new Export bookings
Booking space with airlines
Arranging haulage
Creating Export documentation (HAWB/MAWB etc)
Export customs entries
Pre-alerting overseas agents
File billing
General customer service, providing shipment updates etc
driver required as will need to drive to Customs or The Chamber of Commerce on occasions
Hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 till 17:30
Salary is between GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 depending on experience

We are seeking to recruit a SEAFREIGHT IMPORT/EXPORT OPERATOR to join a busy Freight Forwarding office based in Halesowen, West Midlands.
The role of Seafreight Import/Export Operator is to handle Seafreight Import OR Export operations from start to finish, for both FCL & LCL shipments. In return the package available is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on level of experience), working Monday -Friday and based in West Midlands (B62)
Duties will include:
- Making bookings with customers Agents, Shipping Lines, Hauliers.
- Raising Export Shipping Documentation
- Processing Import shipments
- Inputting Export Customs Entries
- Completing all freight administration
- Keeping updated with customers and carriers at all times.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidate who have previous Freight Forwarding experience, or who has worked in Import OR Export Shipping on behalf of a manufacturer and would like to move over to Freight Forwarding.
The successful candidate will need to be hard working, willing to train and learn new ways of working, friendly & approachable as well as possessing strong administration, communication and customer service skills.

We are recruiting for an experienced Export Operative to join our current team, to assist with the smooth running of the department.
Working 09:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, including a 1hr paid break per day.
The role of Export Operative will involve, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Ensure all export shipments are collected by the correct vehicle, the documentation is in order and they are exported to the client`s satisfaction.
Ensure custom entries are completed correctly using the correct CPC code and the entry is scanned to the NES Folder.
Complete quotations for new and existing clients.
Send flight details to the client by Email or Fax and ensure the foreign agent is pre-alerted with full details.
Ascertain the urgency of the shipment and decide the routing of the shipment accordingly.
Liaise with foreign agents when required.
POD the foreign agent on urgent shipments to ensure delivery has been achieved.
Ensure the NES file is fully completed and check post flight shipment details; details to client.
Ensure the file is up to-date and ready for charging out.
Liaise with the accounts team regarding client credit agreements.
The knowledge, skills and experience required from our Export Operative is:
Essential
Recent experience of working as an Export Operative/Clerk.
Hold a full UK driving licence.
Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadline.
Strong communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Be a team player in the department and with members of staff from all other departments.
Sound knowledge of IT - Word and Excel.
Desirable
Experience of transporting valuable goods.
Experience of Boxtop and/or eCustoms
Knowledge of the local area and London.
