 We are seeking a candidate who possesses excellent Customer Service skills and able to communicate effectively across all levels, an excellent telephone manner, confident in their approach and always striving to offer customers and colleagues the highest level of service. Who is also able to work in a fast paced environment with the Logistics, Distribution & Supply Chain industry sector.

All candidates will need be IT Literate and conversant in Microsoft Excel and able to work with a high level of attention to detail and level of accuracy.

Working for a Global Freight Forwarding and Logistics organisation the role of LOGISTICS CUSTOMER SERVICE CLERK will be to;

  • Liaise with internal and external customers and advise of booking receipts,
  • Confirm Freight details and establish any special requests/requirements,
  • Input all booking data on to an in-house system and generate reports,
  • Trace and track freight keeping customers updated with its status,
  • Take all general freight enquiries.

Working closely with other departments and offices across the UK and internationally, to offer an outstanding level of service to all customers. This is a fabulous opportunity to work for a large global organisation, offering an immediate start.

We have an immediate opening for a TEMPORARY LOGISTICS DATA AUDITOR for a large global organization.

We are seeking a candidate who has strong administration and data analyzing skills, and has previously worked in the Freight, Shipping or Supply Chain industry.

The duties of the role will be checking Freight costings against the system and reports, ensuring charges, rates, currencies etc are correct and the shipment details for the Import/Export movement are correct. Completing reports and Excel spreadsheets relating to International freight movements, analyzing data and producing KPI reports.

The successful candidate will need to have experience of handling large volumes of data, completing Excel Spreadsheets including formulars, V-look ups and Pivot tables. Responding to customer and colleague requests for information and data etc. Be able to work with a high level of attention to detail, in an organized and professional manner and who can learn new ways of working quickly.

This role is a Temporary position initially for 3-6 months though could be extended, and given the current COVID situation would be homebased and requires a candidate who has the ability and set up to work from home.

1) Negotiating rates and booking freight with Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Airlines, hauliers and Courier companies.

2) Producing all paperwork relevant to each shipment and/or procuring same from appropriate official/commercial source.

3) Producing, checking and presenting all relevant documents against Letters of Credit.

4) Liasing with Bank(s) regarding all aspects of Letters of Credit, including Opening, Amendments, Presentations and Silent Confirmations/Commitments to Negotiate.

5) Issuance of Insurance documents and dealing with all aspects of any claims arising.

6) Dealing with HMRC regarding all matters relating to the International movement of goods, including:- a) Checking Tariff Headings
b) Maintaining all I.P.R. Suspension records, attending to returns and re-applying for Authorisation as required.
c) Advising Forwarders/Carriers of correct details for Customs entries for both imports and exports.
d) Maintaining VAT & Duty Deferment records.

7) Liasing with Warehouses, Factories, Suppliers and Customers to ensure the timely
shipment of all consignments and production and delivery of all relevant documentation.

8) Overseeing/Supervising all aspects of Exportmaster computer program including:-
a) Daily transfer of Invoice to EMS Accounts System
b) Periodic transfer of Stock details to EMS Accounts System.
c) Production of various reports as required.

9) Reviewing and processing purchase invoices. Must be excellent with figures

KEY SKILLS

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and skills:

One of my clients is a top global freight forwarder who are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Consultant in their New Jersey location.

This is an excellent role for an ambitious and capable supply chain planner with proven experience to join a rapidly developing team in one of the largest companies in logistics.

This role is working with existing clients in their Global Accounts or Key Accounts division.

Required Experience:

At least 10 years in the logistics industry with consistent exposure on strategic projects
- A strong understanding of Supply Chain Management disciplines - planning, sourcing, purchasing, transportation, warehousing and distribution
- 3PL and 4PL operational knowledge
- Business Administration including basic finance knowledge
- Process mapping and re-engineering
- Consultative Selling
Beneficial experience would be if this includes working the client side as well as the service provider.


Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, or Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
- MBA or equivalent (preferred, not essential)
- Certificates such as PMP, SCPro™, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are not required but beneficial
