Our client is happy to train in areas if you do not meet all needs.
Role Involves:
Exports are start to finish including customs entries, obtaining the best rates from airlines ect.
Imports are mostly start to finish.
Road freight - we do some to Europe and a lot domestically / we do a lot of white glove deliveries also, so they will need to pay attention to details.
Updating stock counts/spreadsheets and getting the required stock to customers by their required dates, knowledge of Excel is useful.
Picking and packing stock and shipping on couriers like DHL/DPD. When busy you will be required to do some pallet building / shrink wrapping.
We are looking for an individual who has above and happy to train in areas, our client work with some well-known customers, so good customer service at all times, also someone who is flexible that will help out in all areas when needed to get job done.
Working in a small tight nit team, where everyone helps each other out.
Working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, flexible when needed.

Job Purpose:
The key objective of the Tender Desk is to ensure that all tenders generated from our clients commercial team network, & are responded to within the deadline and that all tenders are recorded and monitored so that the best pricing levels are provided to our customers and the network at all times
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide initial point of contact for the clients Healthcare network for the receipt of tenders, ensuring that all UK product managers and European Healthcare Vertical stakeholders have been made aware of tender deadline and requirements
Management of UK generated European Healthcare tenders for all modes of transport in coordination with regional tender desks as required
Liaison with marketing department to complete RFIs and any supporting tender documentation
To manage and control, follow up, measure and analyse success of all tenders irrespective of origin
In coordination with the product managers and European Healthcare Vertical stakeholders, assist with the implementation of rating structures for key routes
Assist product managers and European Healthcare Vertical stakeholders with spot pricing for sales team.
Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Operational knowledge, preferably all modes/verticals: Air, Sea, Pharma, Aerospace - (inbound and outbound).
Experience of the Healthcare / Life science industry vertical preffered
Good ICT skills to include excellent knowledge of Excel
Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
Friendly, calm and professional manner
Accustomed to working to fixed deadlines and under pressure
Enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated
Well organised
Ability to work closely with overseas network, commercial team and branches

Sourcing Hauliers & agreeing costs
Quotation of jobs by Intermodal, Road & Groupage.
Arranging shipments with suppliers, agents & shipping lines.
Ensuring the correct documentation is received for customs clearance.
Arrange delivery within the free time period.
Manage any day-to-day issues that can arise.
Check invoices and upload for payment onto the inhouse system.
Invoice all jobs upon completion
Manage the impact & recovery of any additional costs for the company.
