We are working with an established Freight Forwarder near Heathrow, who have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Air Import Specialist.
The role is working Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm then 1 in 5 weekends Saturday/Sunday 8am.3pm then have Thursday/Fridays off.
You are responsible for delivering a quality service, to both Internal/external clients, whilst processing air imports consignments.
Track the arrivals of cargo via web, with JAS origin and warehouse.
Receive the customer service transmission, and send then to the warehouse before 8 hours arrival of the flight.
Report missing documents/packages to customer service, origin and customer.
Enter forward the transmissions sent by customer services, origin and customer
Generate the notice of arrival of the cargo to the warehouse/fiscal warehouse send the dispatch.
Generate the invoice for freight and handling of the operation as soon as the cargo arrives.
Generate bad letters to the airlines in the established times.
Coordinate the sending of documents to customers by courier.
Issue insurance according to customer service instruction.
Comply with customs transmissions at the time regulated by customs.
Notify the client of the arrival of their cargo immediately
Daily tracking of all pending flights, reporting delays or other.
We are looking for previous Air Imports experience, advantage cargo.
Self-motivated, organised, good attention to detail, IT Literate, used to working to deadlines.

Some general info:
Annual Leave - Starts at 22 x days (plus Public Holidays) rising to 23 x days after 5 years, 24 x days after 7 years and 25 x days after 10 years of employment
Pension - After 3 x months of employment, they are auto-enrolled to our Group Pension with Scottish Widows. The current contribution rates (as set by the Government) are 3% Employer contributions and 5% Employee contributions
Salary - GBP26,000 to GBP32,000 (salary depending on experience)

We are recruiting for a medium sized freight forwarder, near Heathrow
Day Export Shift Operations clerk - Hours 1 week 8am-4.30pm & 1 week 12pm -8.30pm Monday to Friday.
To action Exports Shipments via air/road via customers requests either by phone or email.
Collation of all Export documentation, such as Hawbs /Mawbs /cutoms formalities/post flight/invoicing/security procedures/ routing of shipments/airline liaison/transport request and reporting.
Cutting airways bills.
AOG experience - shipping time sensitive shipments
Customs - to ensure custom documentation is in accordance with suppliers instructions including IPR/OPR/Export Licenses entries.
Invoicing - to ensure invoicing is completed daily, where required and as per customers requirements / deadlines.
Transport, arranging and liaising with driver
Experience of Pre-Alerts and Post Flights.
We are looking for 2 years+ working within Exports experience in a Freight Forwarder.

AOG / Time sensitive shipments

Requirements/Skills for the role:
Minimum 5+ years experience in LCL/FCL -Sea freight Export Forwarding
Preferred areas of expertise are USA and Canada but other markets also useful and will be considered. Attention to detail and an aptitude for a fast paced; multi-tasking; customer service minded environment. Flexible and adaptable. Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative in a busy environment. The candidate would also be expected to show initiative and to be able to work without direct supervision.

80% of this role will be desk work within the office on email, talking to customers, running picks on the WHMS, using CargoWise.
20% will be communicating back and forth with the warehouse team ensuring that they know what they are picking. And then this could mean getting their hands dirty picking up the odd box, but not using a FLT in anyway.
It is a fast paced environment and does need someone who has a strong ability to multi task and prioritise workloads and handle the stress of this environment.
A strong administration background and ideally someone who has worked with warehouse managements systems before on the administration.
Could possibly look at the junior operations clerks that have strong administration/customer service backgrounds as they have industry awareness of logistics/parcel movement.
They will be working under the Contract Logistic Supervisor, therefore not looking for management history within the roles.
There can be a language barrier with some of the warehouse operatives, therefore they do need to have some patience to communicate requirements effectively
Hours are not moveable - they are still 9am - 6pm.

Raise invoices and cost files accurately for reporting purposes.
Pass supplier invoices / resolve queries if required. Collect original paperwork where necessary and before release/delivery of cargo.
