Our client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager
Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.30
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Be the forefront of the company's development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.
Develop, promote, and maintain long-term business relationships with a growth portfolio of international clients.
Meeting clients face to face to build relationships and gain business.
Obtain relevant information from customers to complete quotations and supply best possible solution.
Report into the Freight Manager with feedback on rates or services required and produce quotations from the system.
Follow up on quotes with clients and agents and secure bookings.
Provide accurate information to internal operations stain order that all relevant administration can be completed e
Support the export and import processes and cover for export and import teams during holiday and absence
Maintain accurate records of all customs-related documents and transactions
Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers regarding customs requirements and procedures
Provide assistance throughout the business as and when required
Experience/Skills required
We are looking for an individual with previous sales experience ideally within the Freight Forwarding industry, self-motivated, proven track record on bringing in new business and developing existing. Professional approach with the drive to be successful in gaining new business.
The candidate should have a self-motivated and can do attitude, be able to use own initiative, solve problems and have excellent communication skills. They should have a very keen eye for detail and a strong administration ability.
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Salary GBP40,000 PA
