We are working with a leading GSSA, who represent major international airlines. Our client has a strong industry presence and global network, providing full - service sales, marketing and operational solutions to airlines.
Our client is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager.
Overview.
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and expanding cargo sales across airline portfolio. Identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and delivering revenue growth in line with targets.
Responsibilities.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, consolidators and logistics providers.
· Promote and sell cargo capacity for the airlines.
· Identify new sales opportunities and convert them into long-term business.
· Achieve monthly and annual revenue and tonnage targets.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to strengthen commercial strategy.
· Attend sales meetings, industry events and customer visits.
· Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence for internal and external stakeholders.
· Collaborate closely with operations, customer service and airlines teams to ensure a high standard delivery.
Experience needed.
· Air Cargo previous experience required for this role.
· Experience in Air Cargo, Logistics or Freight Forwarding.
· Proven sales performance and ability to meet and exceed targets.
· A strong commercial network within the cargo or freight community.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
· Solid understanding of airfreight pricing, capacity management and market dynamics.
· Competent in using CRM systems, MS Office and standard reporting tools.
· Proactive, self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
· Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
Desirable
· Previous experience working in a GSSA or airline environment.
· Familiarity with IATA regulations, cargo systems and air cargo operational procedures.
Salary GBP45K+ Neg
+ Annual Commission Performance related, Company Car, Private Healthcare, 25 days Annual Leave.
