Our client is looking for a Caretaker for a job role based in Ashford, Surrey.
Job Description: Caretaker (Daytime or Evening)
Hours: 45 Hours per week (Monday to Friday: 10:00 to 19:00) OR 45 Hours per week (Monday to Friday: 13:00 to 22:00) with a 30 minute paid break for lunch.
Salary: GBP29,260 Location: Ashford, Surrey
Duties:
· Check site regularly for any potential Health and Safety issues.
· Morning and afternoon gate duties.
· Assisting the Estates Manager with the following: - ensuring the school complies with all current legislation in relation to site safety and facilities management.
· Completion of Risk Assessments as required and corrective actions where necessary.
· Maintenance and management of schedule of works to ensure that the site is kept operational.
· Repair and maintenance tasks - maintenance of installations and plant for electric and gas supply, heating, domestic hot water etc.
· Maintenance of the grounds to a high standard; ensure grounds are litter free.
· Overseeing out of hours activities.
· Drive rented vehicles to assist schools activities - cover minibus routes in the absence of drivers - D1 licence desirable or willingness to complete relevant training.
· Open or lock up the premises.
· Regular painting of internal rooms and communal areas.
· Inform the Estates Manager in a timely manner of critical safety and security issues and provide routine/progress management reports as required.
