We have a client based in Bagshot, who are looking for an experienced Commis Chef preferably a car driver as not on a bus route
Reporting to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef
To assist the team in your selection ensure the highest standards of product and grow your knowledge and learn patisserie and bakery skills
To follow the day to day procedures including; Diligence, food labelling, weekly deep clean of your section
To run an environment that is clean, tidy and organised at all times. Promoting moral that encourages a team to have pride in their working environment to a high level of commitment.
To be able to listen and take instructions from the senior pastry chefs to ensure a smooth running of the section.
To always strive to maintain and drive the solid consistency of the product being produced within the pastry department on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
To be able to take direction and instruction from other team members to help with your performance and development
Have a flexible ability to respond to business and client needs, on a day to day basis
To follow and abide by all regulations, policies and procedures that has been set out
To help and protect the property from theft and damage of goods using good working practice within the kitchens.
QUAIFICATIONS & DESIRABLES
· NVQ Level 2&3
· Hotel or restaurant background
· Good understanding of food, safety, hygiene
· General kitchen and food knowledge
· Good verbal and written English
· Good organisational skills
· Flexible ability to respond to business and client needs
