£27,000 to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience. 

Based in Castle Donington.

We are working with a well-established, reputable Freight Forwarder, based in Castle Donington, who, due to a significant piece of new business, are looking for a Freight Forwarding Operator to complement their Import department. 

Working a hybrid work pattern, with a split between home working and their Castle Donington offices, the successful candidate will be joining a friendly team centred around Account Management. 

This role is centred around short sea imports, with occasional road freight from Mainland Europe to multiple UK sites. 

This role is suitable for a candidate who has experience within Road and Sea Freight operations, with a focus on imports.

The successful candidate will be handling operations for Seafreight shipments, with occasional Roadfreight shipments, from start to finish for key account and ad hoc customers.

Duties will include:

• Handling all aspects of quotes, costings and bookings.
• Shipping documentation.
• Liaising with customers, hauliers, shipping lines and agents. 
• Working on the start to finish shipments, from delivery of freight to its final destination. 
• Billing out files and passing to accounts for payment. 
• Helping the customs brokerage department when required.
