Our client is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team.
POSITION OVERVIEW
To ensure that Housekeeping is carried out safely and correctly. To work with your team to provide the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests and colleagues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Housekeeping Operations
· Supervise and lead a section team of direct reports and cross functional staff
· Provide day to day direction and allocation of tasks for team
· Liaise with other departments and ensure good communication
· Check all bedrooms, corridors and areas within your section on a daily basis, that they are cleaned and set to the required standards
· Be aware of all room statuses, arrival times and follow up all queries
· Have an understanding of all hotel services. Note any guest requests/ requirements and ensure these are actioned and followed up
· Hand in, document, label and store all found property in area provided
· Make sure Room Attendant services and storage areas are kept clean, tidy and well stocked
· Assist with stocktaking
· Report maintenance faults and ensure repairs are carried out
· Be conversant with all chemical cleaning supplies as per cleaning supply manual
· Checking of all guest rooms prior to the guests arrival and ensure VIP set up
· Over see the deep cleaning/ spring cleaning schedule is adhered to
· Adhere to grooming guidelines at all times
People Development
· To motivate and train team members
· Participate or lead Departmental & Section team meetings and/or training sessions
· Assist in induction and on the job training so all staff reach required standards
· Monitor and evaluate team performance
· Ensure all team members are enabled to deliver consistently good service
· Have effective communication within section team and department. Escalate any issues to Senior or Head Housekeeper
Health & Safety
· Comply with all statutory and company health and safety, fire, bomb and security regulations
· Ensure job required certificates are kept up to date
Flexibility
· Along with your main duties you may be asked to complete other tasks and duties as and when necessary and reasonably required
· You may on occasion be required to adjust your hours of work to cover the business needs
QUAIFICATIONS & DESIRABLES
· Fluent written and verbal English language
· Hospitality National Diploma
· Previous HK Supervisory role
· Worked in a luxury property
· HK processes & procedures e.g.. Health &Safety
· Organised
· Eye for detail
· Excellent communicator
· Team leader
