Export Operator

We are seeking to recruit a EXPORT OPERATOR to join a well-established freight forwarding office based in Dudley, West Midlands. 

This is a exciting opportunity for a candidate who has at least 2 years experience within freight forwarding and exports. 

The successful candidate will need to have excellent planning and organisation, proven problem solving and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with customers. 

Duties will include: 

• Receive, process and manage multiple different customers export bookings in line with agreed time frames and company standards and guidelines 
  
  


• Sea and Air freight exports including FCL/LCL
  
  


• Dealing with shipping lines/consolidators and air freight agents 
  
  


• Liaising with suppliers to fulfill customer bookings covering the full range of requirements 
  
  


• Data inputting for new bookings into the booking platform Box Top 
  
  


• Sending confirmations to suppliers and clients 
  
  


• Problem resolution including haulage delays/vessel details and sourcing alternative jobs when required 
  
  


• Job tracking and keeping customers up to date 
  
  


• Closing jobs when completed to customer satisfaction
