- Our client is looking for a Transport and Warehouse Assistant
We currently serve a wide range of customers from art galleries, antique dealers, auction houses, online platforms to interior designers.
The Role:
As a Transport and Warehouse Assistant in the Warehouse department, your role focuses on coordinating and optimising artwork transport operations while ensuring strong communication, accurate administration, and effective cost management.
You will report to the Head of Storage & Technicians, who oversees Transport, Storage and Technicians, and youll work closely with the Warehouse Assistant.
What you'll do:
Transport Planning & Operations
- Plan and schedule daily collections and deliveries for four trucks, using the Transport Diary. Create efficient and appropriate routes based on your knowledge of artwork size/materials. The objective is to minimising client wait times.
- Be the intermediary between clients and our drivers/technicians. Coordinate collection and delivery times with clients, and give clear instructions to your technicians colleagues who do the collections and pick-ups.
- Manage last-minute changes, urgent requests, delays, and transport incidents, keeping all relevant parties informed.
- Arrange and oversee third-party transport when in-house trucks are unavailable, ensuring service continuity and cost control.
Administration, Reporting & Budget Control
- Help prepare transport documentation (e.g. Collection and Delivery Notes) and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
- Monitor work flow through KPIs (e.g. time to collect), contribute to improvement plans, and manage transport budgets to ensure efficient truck utilisation and controlled third-party spend.
Warehouse Management Assistant
- Help with various tasks to maintain the day-to-day operations of a warehouse
- Be in charge of the warehouse email inbox and reply to emails from your Customer Care colleagues inquiring about shipments or storage in the warehouse.
- Maintaining an inventory of goods and reporting your actions to the warehouse manager
- Printing shipping labels and scanning the items into the storage locations and out of the warehouse
- Reporting damaged items
- Assist with using supply chain software to optimise operations
Your profile:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple requests at once and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise across teams.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills needed to build relationships with both client coordinators and technician-drivers in the team
- Proficient in English
- Comfortable using digital tools (reporting dashboards, email, Excel, shared drives).
- Proactive mindset: problem-solver who follows up until issues are resolved
- Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, or operations is a really interesting nice-to-have

Salary up to GBP35K based on experience
