Shift: Monday Friday (occasional weekend work)
Hours: 5:00pm 4:00am
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials are handled safely, efficiently, and in line with site procedures, while maintaining high standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Remove baled materials from the baler safely and in a timely manner, transferring to storage or the QC operative
Stack all bales safely and appropriately
Load trailers and containers with baled product as directed
Unload incoming baled materials as required
Empty bins across the plant when needed
Complete all relevant paperwork (e.g. container loading sheets)
Support the Bale QC Operative when required
Assist with general yard duties, including maintenance and unloading deliveries
Maintain the SRF storage and processing area
Act as the final quality check for baled product prior to dispatch
Additional Duties
Complete daily maintenance check sheets accurately
Keep the forklift cab clean and tidy
Confirm loads with the weighbridge prior to loading
Complete trailer inspection sheets when required
Ensure all loads are handled and placed in line with procedures
Prepare external bales for loading (picked, cleaned, and ready)
Load vehicles efficiently and within required timeframes
Communicate effectively with supervisors and baler operators regarding any contamination issues
Plant & Equipment Responsibilities
All operatives must leave equipment in a clean and safe condition for the next shift, including:
Refuelling (diesel, AdBlue)
Checking and topping up engine and hydraulic oils
Fully greasing the machine
Cleaning filters, radiators, and cab
Carrying out any additional maintenance duties as required
Additional Information
Certified drivers may be required to operate other plant equipment when needed
During downtime, operatives will be expected to support with other site duties
Weekend work is required on a rota basis across all certified operatives
