- Description
- We are working with a Small/Medium Freight Forwarding based near Thorpe, who are looking to recruit an Export Operator .
Ensuring that our customers and overseas agents receive a good level of service and are kept up to date with all aspects of the shipments making them aware of any problems with or delays to their shipments.
Our client is looking for an experienced, responsible Export Clerk, who is used to working under pressure.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
·Working with the China export team closely
·Ensure that all relevant emails, documents and information are uploaded / added into Box top. This includes copies of all export documentation and relevant emails in case of future audits
·Arrange collection of any U.K. shipments for export to China and Nigeria, directly through a designated haulier/courier company and ensuring all correct documentation is in place
·Keep warehouse aware of any direct deliveries from UK suppliers/courier or any other 3rd party
·Handling transhipments for Nigeria
·Issue export entries correctly using CDS/Sequoia
·Ensure all shipments are exported / completed correctly and in a timely manner once the shipment has arrived at, the designated handling warehouse
·Assist, mentor and train other staff members in exports and procedures
·Ensure invoicing requirements are met, issued correctly and in a timely manner. Ensure to work compliantly with aeo and compliance procedures
·Ensure that all relevant emails, documents and information are uploaded / added into Box top. This includes copies of all export documentation and relevant emails in case of future audits
·Ensure in house training is up to date.
Experience needed:
·Previous Export Start to Finish experience.
·Good Customs / CDS experience.
·Good communication skills written and verbal
·Flexible and adaptable
·Team player
·Good understanding of the international trade / and compliance requirements
·Good time management skills
·Assertive
·The ability to work to deadlines
·Good negotiation skills

Due to location, Car Driver needed.
Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm
Salary depends on experience.
