Salary: Up to GBP37,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
The Company
Our client is a well-established and growing freight forwarding company based near Gatwick. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced Airfreight Operator to join their friendly and supportive operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years' experience in either Air Imports or Air Exports. If you have experience in one discipline, full training will be provided to develop your skills in the other, making this an ideal opportunity to broaden your freight forwarding knowledge.
The Role
Manage Airfreight Import or Export shipments from start to finish.
Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, customers and transport providers.
Prepare and process all relevant freight documentation.
Ensure shipments are handled efficiently and in line with customer requirements.
Monitor shipments and provide proactive updates to clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and overseas partners.
Work closely with the wider operations team to ensure a smooth service.
Learn and develop the opposite operational function (Import or Export) through structured training.
Requirements
Experience within Airfreight Imports or Exports.
Good understanding of freight forwarding procedures.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Customs Knowledge
Package & Benefits
Salary up to GBP35,000.
Monday to Friday working hours (09:00 - 17:30).
Paid weekend work available on an occasional basis (completed remotely from home).
