Location: Heathrow
Salary: GBP42,000
Hours: Monday - Friday | 9:00am - 5:00pm
Our client is a leading specialist in the secure transportation and logistics of high-value commodities, including precious metals, jewellery, luxury watches, diamonds, and other valuable assets. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join their Heathrow operation.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly secure environment where professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport high-value consignments throughout the UK.
Conduct vehicle safety inspections and ensure vehicles remain roadworthy.
Follow strict security procedures and company operating protocols at all times.
Complete collections and deliveries within agreed schedules.
Accurately complete delivery documentation and electronic records.
Maintain regular communication with the operations team throughout the day.
Deliver exceptional customer service whilst representing the company professionally.
Ensure all shipments are handled with the highest level of care and confidentiality.
Comply with all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Traffic legislation.
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Strong safety awareness and excellent driving record.
Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
Previous experience transporting valuable, secure or specialist freight is advantageous but not essential.
Able to pass extensive pre-employment screening, including 5-10 years' employment and address referencing.
Criminal record and security screening will form part of the recruitment process.
