Hours: Monday Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm
Driving: European / EU experience required
The Role
We are working with a specialist High Value Freight Forwarder based near Heathrow who are looking for an experienced HGV Art Technician to join their growing team.
This is a specialist position combining HGV driving with the professional handling, transportation and installation of high-value Fine Art and valuable goods.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with Fine Art or similarly high-value, fragile cargo, alongside proven European driving experience.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport high-value Fine Art and specialist cargo throughout the UK and Europe.
Operate Class 1 or Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and professionally.
Carry out loading, unloading and secure handling of Fine Art and high-value items.
Assist with the careful packing, wrapping and preparation of artwork for transportation.
Support with the installation and positioning of artwork at galleries, exhibitions, private residences and other locations.
Complete vehicle and transport documentation accurately.
Liaise professionally with clients, galleries, museums, collectors and other stakeholders.
Carry out vehicle checks and ensure all loads are secured correctly.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure collections and deliveries are completed on time.
Represent the company professionally when dealing with high-profile clients and valuable consignments.
Undertake European driving assignments when required.
Requirements
Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence.
Proven European / EU driving experience essential.
Previous Fine Art handling experience essential.
Experience transporting high-value, fragile or specialist cargo.
Strong understanding of safe loading, unloading and securing of valuable goods.
Excellent attention to detail and a careful approach to handling.
Professional presentation and strong communication skills.
Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Europe.
Flexible attitude towards occasional overnight stays and European trips.
