- Our client is looking to add a Fine Art Freight Forwarding Agent
Salary: GBP20,000-GBP25,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Annual Leave: 25 days
The Opportunity
A new opportunity is available for a Fine Art Freight Forwarding Agent to join an established specialist fine art logistics business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a start to a long-term career within the fine art freight forwarding and logistics industry.
The successful candidate will join a busy and friendly team and will be involved in the day-to-day coordination of fine art shipments for private clients, galleries, dealers, artists and other industry professionals.
Full training will be provided, so previous experience within fine art or freight forwarding is not essential. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, reliable and keen to learn.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
·Entering and maintaining accurate job and shipment information within the company's internal systems
·Setting up new jobs and shipments from initial instruction through to completion
·Liaising with clients via email and telephone
·Communicating with suppliers, carriers and overseas agents
·Providing professional and friendly customer service
·Coordinating with internal teams to ensure shipments are managed efficiently
·Assisting with quotations, bookings and general shipment administration
·Monitoring shipment progress and keeping clients updated
·Preparing and maintaining relevant documentation and records
·Filing and general administrative duties
·Working as part of a close-knit team to ensure all jobs are handled accurately and professionally
·Developing an understanding of international freight forwarding, customs and fine art logistics
Requirements
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
·Confident speaking with clients, suppliers and colleagues
·Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
·Confident using computers and learning new systems
·A positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude
·Willingness to learn and develop new skills
·Hard-working, reliable and punctual
·Flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team
·A full UK driving licence and access to a car is required
·Previous experience in freight forwarding or fine art is advantageous but not essential

You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with a variety of people and managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.
