- Description
- We have an exciting opportunity for a Gateway Coordinator to work for a medium/large sized forwarder.
The Gateway Coordinator will be working as part of the gateway team, responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient customer service. Good understanding of working within a medium/large forwarder good knowledge of Import/ Export procedures as well as a good understanding of the freight industry security processes and complete understanding of HMRC, IATA, CAA regulations.
Role Involves:
·Previous experience of consolidation and gateway functions.
·Customs reports as required.
·Previous experience of working within freight forwarding.
·Raise records in the ETSF and discharge T1s from overnight DDX deliveries.
·Manage the sequential flow of consignments arriving and departing maintaining 100% safety and security.
·Ensure invoicing, job costing, CIA, are updated in timeframes.
·Cost Control.
·Remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships.
·Ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved departments.
·Follow strict and time sensitive SOPs/Kpis to ensure compliance.
·Resolve queries from customers and suppliers.
Experience needed.
·Previous freight forwarding experience.
·Experience of working within Consols advantage
·Previous Gateway experience.
·Experience of Airline transport advantage.
·Experience of DFT/CAA, HMRC, IATA regulations.
·Keen to develop through training.
·Good verbal and written communication skills.
·Good IT skills.
·Used to working in a fast-paced working environment.
Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
Salary depends on experience.
