IRISH ROAD FREIGHT / GROUPAGE, FULL LOAD, PART LOAD / PALLETISED FREIGHT
Wednesbury
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
£28,500 - £30,000
We are looking for a highly organised and commercially minded SALES ADMINISTRATOR to join a busy road freight team based in Wednesbury.
The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, helping to manage customer enquiries, prepare quotations, coordinate shipments and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in road freight, logistics, transport or sales administration, particularly someone familiar with movements between Great Britain and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing admin support to the Irish road freight sales team.
- Handling customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Prepare and issue accurate freight quotations and rate proposals.
- Liaise with customers to obtain shipment details, including collection/delivery addresses, weights, dimensions and required delivery dates.
- Follow up quotations and sales enquiries to maximise conversion.
- Maintain accurate customer, quotation and shipment records on internal systems.
- Assist with booking and coordinating road freight movements between the UK and Ireland.
- Liaise with hauliers, transport planners, customers and internal departments to ensure shipments progress smoothly.
- Monitor shipments and provide customers with updates where required.
- Assist with resolving delivery, collection or service queries.
- Supporting the sales team
- Maintain a high standard of customer service at all times.
About You
- Experience with UK–Ireland road freight
- Experienced in road freight, logistics, transport or a similar environment.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Comfortable using transport management, CRM or freight systems.
- A strong team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
