- We are working with an established niche Freight Forwarder close to Heathrow who are looking to recruit a Central Freight Operations Agent. (Dealing with all modes of transport, Air, Sea, Road Imports & Exports.)
Ideally looking for both Import/Exports but will train if more familiar on one, again good Air and ideally Sea and Road again will train.
The role is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials, ensuring they are transported efficiently and safely from one location to another. Along with playing a crucial role in maintaining supply chain efficiency and meeting customer demands by ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in good condition. Managing documentation, such as bills of lading and customs paperwork.
Main Duties.
·Dealing with all modes of transport - Air Import/export, Ocean Import/Export, Road Import/Export.
·Customs - predominantly clear carnets but also permanent /temporary Import/Exports. Knowledge of ASM Customs system would be preferable.
·Good Knowledge of CDS.
·Be able to cut export AWBs.
·Provide quotes to customers.
·Provide high customer service levels, chase for post flights and PODs.
·Responsible for imputing cost accruals and invoicing jobs to clients.
·Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word programs.
·Some involvement in physical work.
Due to runs to the Airport etc, Car Driver required.
Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm - once trained 1-6 weeks weekend work and out of hours covered required - will be paid for.
Salary depends on experience.
