Due to increased global growth, we are seeking an Airfreight Coordinator to be part of our clients Air Freight team within their London Heathrow Office.
You will co-ordinate Airfreight activities (Exports and Imports)
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure all air export/import jobs are completed correctly and in a timely manner
Ensure the operational system is always used and updated correctly
Assist other department as and when required by the company
Provide support and holiday coverage for the local staff when required
Maintain regular communications with the network and sales team
Look and propose new efficiencies in customer workflow
Ensure all reports are completed as per provided deadline
Ensure the SOPs are followed completely
Look and propose new efficiencies in customer workflow
Ensure that all goods under the deferment account are approved for deliver with accounts or line manager or an agreement must be place on SOP or quotes
Passing invoices from suppliers and providers within 48 hours from receipt
Propose and report to Line Manager; strategies related to the Air products
Skills, Experience and Competencies
Proven experience, gained ideally within the Freight Forwarding sector. Will also consider a Trainee at the lower salary level.
Able to complete customs entries
Knowledge and experience of Import/Export multimodal business
Knowledge/skills required for Air Freight sales and products
Demonstrate quality communication skills along with good presentation skills
Proficient with Microsoft packages especially Ms Excel and general PC knowledge
Good understanding of logistics processes and procedures
Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload with attention to detail
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Must be flexible with their working hours.
CDS is preferred, however, not essential.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday 08.30 hours - 17.30 hours - one-hour unpaid lunch
Salary: Up to GBP35,000 excellent benefits
