European Import Manager - Essex - 40k
Responsible for the Essex Import European operation, ensuring service levels are adhered to and exceeded.
Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure service targets are met.
Weekly team briefs - share the previous weeks performance and areas of focus.
Holiday and sickness cover planning.
Staff recruitment.
Have a clear understanding of the Company's policies, procedures and vision.
Comply with the Equality Act.
Comply with all Policies specifically relating to health and safety e.g., Substance Abuse.
Comply with all Legislation and Government Authorities relating to the business e.g., Bribery & Corruption, Competition Authorities.
· Manage the day to day running of the Import European Services ensuring a quality service is delivered.
Provide support and direction to the European Director
Full P&L responsibility of import markets, use KPI to monitor and manage performance
· Coach and mentor existing team.
· Develop key relationships with Customers, European Agents & suppliers
· Monitor the customs performance, ensure ETSF costs via storage are recovered.
· Analyse data, produce statistics, and identify areas of concern within the business.
· Implement business plan and new business.
· Share weekly KPIs with European team and managers.
· Conduct regular reviews to monitor and evaluate staff performance, Appraisals
· Liaising with clients, overseas agents and internal departments
· Maintaining accurate administrative records
· Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently
· Full understanding of our ISO/AEO system
· Any duties/tasks as requested by the European Operations Director.
· Contribute to companys strategic objectives and hold regular communication briefings with the team
· Identify and look for new opportunities in conjunction with European Director.
· Analysis of potential new agents, producing tariffs, costs analysis to department.
· Keep the European Director updated with progress and plans.
· Meet as a member of the management team, prepare monthly reports, and communicate weekly ongoings in the European department to Operations Director
· Prepare and delivery information in Monthly meetings for the Board.
· Identify areas of improvements in the department.
