Job Description

Specialist European Road Freight-EU Transporter is now seeking to recruit a Customer Services & Customs Coordinator for their French speaking department. Interesting and varied career opportunity with emphasis in providing excellent customer services overall.

Due to the nature of this business, skills & requirements;
Fluent in English & French (written and oral)-essential
Previous Transport/Road Freight/Logistics operations and customer services background.
Strong in Exports.
Some Imports would be beneficial.
Excellent communication, organizational, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Mature, pro-active and enthusiastic.
Flexible and able to work both as part of a small team and on their own initiative.

The role entails;
Customers liaison / customers services: quoting customers & following up on quotes, taking orders / bookings, answering queries from existing customers and potential new customers (trailer availability, transit time etc.) Customs -Brexit, data input and liaison with customs agents to avoid delay in shipping. Daily communication with network of hauliers / trailer providers / contractors, sourcing trailer capacity from them, negotiating rates with them and organising transport operations by road as per customers requirements. Monitoring transports, ensuring that the order goes smoothly from collection to delivery, solving problems, updating and reporting back to customers. Ensuring at all times operational cycle is fully completed and building relationships further.
