- Description
- We are working with a small forwarder close to Heathrow who are looking to recruit a Multi-Modal Export/ Import Operator with Air and Road experience.
You will be on call either 1 in 4 weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) or if not at the weekend 1 night in the week, as this is a 24-hour operation.
9-6pm if not on shift.
If you have good Export Air, Road, our client is happy to train in the Imports, but ideally would like both.
Role Involves.
Able to handle the job form start to finish (quote to sending the invoice to the customer)
Communications via phone, email & in person
Eye for detail
Able to work under own initiative, as well as part of a team
Able to build relationships with customers, suppliers & colleagues
Positive attitude in all situations
Willingness to learn new skills
Data entry accuracy
Import/export Air, road, OBC & some ocean knowledge
Experienced working with overseas agents to organise new bookings and co-ordinate & communicate shipment updates to the customer.
Quoting (collecting costs from suppliers/partners & converting into a quote)
Thinking outside of the box
Time management - maximising working day to complete work & billing
Passing supplier invoices & ensuring they match the estimates in the system.
Supplier queries as required
Customs knowledge for import & export by air & road using CDS
T1 knowledge
Not afraid to arrange something new or out of the ordinary
Benefits
Salary is GBP30-GBP38k per year (candidate dependant on experience)
Call out on 1in4 basis at the weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun). When you are not on call the weekend, you will do 1 weeknight, but if you are oncall at the weekend you will not do a weeknight.
